Long-awaited sequel will hit theaters in summer 2021

We don’t have a ton of details just yet, but we do have a release date for the long-awaited ‘Space Jam 2’, which will be in theaters on July 16, 2021, a mere 2½ years away, Spring Hill Entertainment announced on Thursday.

LeBron James, who co-founded of Spring Hill Entertainment with Maverick Carter, will star in the sequel to the 1996 Michael Jordan film, but the rest of the cast has to date been kept under wraps. The only actor listed on IMDB for the movie, for instance aside from James is Eric Bauza, who voices Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck.

News of the film’s production was confirmed in September, with Terence Nance directing and Ryan Coogler among the producers. James, in addition to starring, is an executive producer on the film as well.

The original ‘Space Jam’ grossed $90.4 million in the U.S. and over $230 million worldwide.

Paying for great baseball players is never a bad strategy

Half of our long national nightmare is over. Manny Machado, one of the two top prizes on baseball’s free agent market, has signed, and with a somewhat surprising team. Machado landed with the San Diego Padres for an eye-popping $300 million over 10 years. The contract, which was finalized on Thursday, includes an opt-out clause after 2023.

Terms of the deal were first reported by per Jeff Passan of ESPN and Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.

Sure, it took until after spring training camps opened throughout baseball for Machado to sign a deal, but the wait it appears was worth it. At $300 million, Machado has the largest free agent deal in baseball history, surpassing the $275 million over 10 years that Alex Rodriguez got from the Yankees after 2007, when MLB’s annual revenue was reported at $6 billion.

In 2018, MLB had reported revenues of $10.3 billion, per Forbes.

The only contract larger than Machado’s in baseball is the $325 million deal signed by Giancarlo Stanton with the Marlins, though that was a 13-year pact, and one signed before Stanton reached free agency.

Bryce Harper is the other top prize on the market and may or may not surpass $300 million, but for now Machado owns the top free agent contract ever in the sport, which surprisingly puts the Padres in rarefied air.

Eric Hosmer last winter signed an eight-year deal with San Diego for $144 million, giving the Padres for the moment the highest total free agent contracts for two years running. It didn’t work out in 2018 for the Padres, who lost 96 games. San Diego hasn’t had a winning season since 2010, and has averaged a shade under 90 losses in the eight years since.

Before Machado the Padres had a payroll of just $80 million for 2019 per Cot’s Contracts, meaning they had plenty of room to add, and frankly still do even after Machado. Maybe if they add some pitching — Dallas Keuchel and Craig Kimbrel are still free agents, after all — San Diego might accelerate their success even faster.

But Hosmer, like Machado, is a long-term play for the Padres, who have one of the most impressive arrays of young talent in the game.

Fernando Tatis Jr. is either the best, second-best or third-best prospect in all of baseball, depending on your national list of choice, a shortstop who figures to reach the big leagues as soon as 2019. Tatis hit .286/.355/.507 with 42 extra-base hits in 88 games in Double-A last year, and he turned just 20 in January. Tatis is one of a whopping eight consensus top-100 prospects in baseball for the Padres, who have three other players who also show up on various national lists.

San Diego’s prospect capital is so robust, agent Scott Boras last winter called it “a volcano of hot-talent lava.”

“Manny is one of the truly elite players in baseball and impacts the game on both sides of the ball,” Padres general manager A.J. Preller said. “We’ve spent the last several years building a foundation of talent throughout our system that allows us to make a landmark signing such as this.”

Pretty soon several of these players will be in the majors, and the Padres’ fortunes will turn. Now they get to join a team with a superstar in his prime in Machado.

Machado gives the Padres a true impact bat in the middle of their lineup, and one who is still just 26 years old. Machado hit .297/.367/.538 with the Orioles and Dodgers in 2018, and his 37 home runs gave him four straight years with at least 33 home runs.

Whether he plays shortstop or third base in San Diego, Machado will be a huge upgrade. Padres shortstops hit .241/.293/.375, an 82 wRC+ in 2018, ranking 24th in MLB. San Diego third baseman hit .231/.299/.409, a 94 wRC+ that ranked 19th. Machado had a 141 wRC+ last year, and is at 120 for his career.

Machado will still be in his prime when San Diego starts getting good again, which makes this a perfect fit. Adding great players is never a bad strategy.

Williamson left in the opening minute vs. North Carolina with what’s determined to be a Grade 1 knee sprain. He is day-to-day.

The first meeting of Duke and North Carolina this season got off to a rough start when Zion Williamson was taken out of the game in the opening minute with a knee injury. As Williamson drove the ball into the teeth of the Tar Heel defense, his left foot busted out of his shoe and he went down clutching his right knee. Duke has listed him as day-to-day.

Williamson did not return. Here’s a look at the play, which happened just 33 seconds into the game.

“He broke his shoe with his own foot,” said ESPN broadcaster Dan Shulman.

Williamson was taken to the locker room to be evaluated under his own power.

The injury is thankfully just a Grade 1 knee sprain, and the team is listing him as day-to-day.

This is what Williamson’s shoe looked like after the play:

Early in the game, any hope that Williamson might return was quickly squashed.

From pre-game:

Williamson, the likely No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft, on the season is averaging 21.6 points and 8.8 rebounds, shooting 68 percent from the field.

At the start of the second half, Maria Taylor on ESPN said on Williamson, “He’s in the back still in the training room with his family, watching on TV. I’m told he did not go into the locker room [at halftime] as the rest of the team went in to hear from Coach K.”

North Carolina prevailed in the game, winning 88-72 at Duke.

Potential change must be approved by NBA and NBPA

The NBA has submitted a proposal to the NBA Players Association to lower the draft-eligible age from 19 years old to 18, according to USA Today. This is the first step in a process that could end the one-and-done era in college basketball.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver hasn’t always been in favor of lowering the draft age, but at a media conference at Summer League in July, it felt like a foregone conclusion.

“My personal view is that we’re ready to make that change,” Silver said. “That it won’t come immediately. When I’ve weighed the pros and cons, given that Condoleezza Rice and her commission has recommended to the NBA that those one-and-done players now come directly into the league, and in essence the college community is saying we do not want those players anymore, that sort of tips the scale in my mind that we should be taking a serious look at lowering our age to 18.”

The goal has been to lower the draft-eligible age by 2022, allowing NBA teams time to properly prepare their assets and draft selections. Teams are coveting 2022 picks. But both the NBA and NBPA need to collectively bargain to pass any rule change.

Though the timing seems fishy with Zion Williamson, one of college basketball’s most famous and talented freshmen, going down with a potentially serious knee injury, USA Today says the timing is coincidental. Williamson’s injury has re-energized the preps-to-pros debate however, with DeMarcus Cousins calling the NCAA bullsh—, and Donovan Mitchell and Isaiah Thomas speaking out as well.

DeMarcus Cousins calls the NCAA ‘bulls—t’ following Zion Williamson’s injury

Cousins was one of many NBA players to call out the NCAA.

Zion Williamson suffered a knee injury when his Nike sneaker collapsed early in a game against North Carolina, causing him to fall awkwardly. The severity of the injury is unclear: Coach Mike Krzyzewski called the injury a knee sprain, but said “we’re very concerned about Zion.”

Since his injury, the prep-to-pros debate has been revitalized, with NBA players like Isaiah Thomas and Donovan Mitchell joining in on Twitter.

Warriors center DeMarcus Cousins was even more blunt. He said Williamson should immediately sit out, calling the NCAA “bullshit.”

Cousins: Knowing what I know now, college is bullshit. College basketball, the NCAA, is bullshit. My advice to him is to do what’s best for you and your family. Obviously college… it does nothing for you at this point. You’ve proven you’re the No. 1 pick. You’ve proven your talent. You’re ready for the next level. It’s happening.

When I was at that age, you enjoy the moment, the experience and all that. But there’s so many risks involved to get to the ultimate goal, which is this level.

Cousins went on to reveal what he’s learned since his lone season at Kentucky.

Cousins: Just how crooked the NCAA business is. I saw a post the other day that showed the highest ticket for the UNC-Duke game was $2,500-$3,500. How much does Zion Wiliamson get? That’s who they’re coming to see. So how much does he get? Who does it go to? How does it benefit any player on that team? But they’re able to give $20 and a meal so this “bad kid” can get a bad rep, “uncoachable,” “thugs,” whatever it might be. It’s bullshit. It’s been bullshit.

When asked about potential solutions, Cousins referenced the G League route. This season, the G League will implement a new rule which allows a $125,000 payment to a select group of “elite” high school athletes, which is an increase from the roughly $7,000 per month wages players typically make over a five-month season.

Cousins sees its future, though. “The G League route, I think that’s helpful,” he said. “Obviously it’s not a popular thing right now, but I think it will grow over time. You’ve seen a couple of young guys enter that program already.”

If Williamson’s injury costs him his season at Duke, or spots in the upcoming NBA Draft, it could have much bigger implications.

Of course they did.

If I gave you $100,000 to correctly guess LeBron James’ next guest on his hit HBO series, The Shop, you’d probably go with Anthony Davis. Davis and James are both Klutch Sports clients, and we just witnessed a wild period of the season that featured James’ Lakers nearly dealing three-quarters of their roster to New Orleans for Davis at the trade deadline.

You’d be oh so right.

Davis will join James, Maverick Carter, Steelers All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown, as well as entertainers Jamie Foxx, Meek Mill, 2 Chainz and Jerrod Carmichael on the Season 2 premiere of The Shop, which will air on March 1 on HBO. The episode was filmed in Charlotte during the 2019 NBA All-Star Weekend, which is after the trade deadline ended with Davis staying in New Orleans.

Of course Davis is on The Shop

And some fans think this is an instance of tampering.

In reality, the league doesn’t enforce player-to-player tampering because it’s tough to call. But that doesn’t stop fans from being angry at the connection — or cracking jokes about it.

James wants Davis on his team, and vice-versa. The Pelicans may not trade The Brow directly to the Lakers, but in his All-Star Weekend media appearance, Davis said he would be open to being traded to any of the 29 teams before his unrestricted free agency hits in 2020. At that point, anything can happen — including signing with the Lakers in free agency.

Davis and Brown are in similar situations. Brown is also engineering an exit from his current team, having requested a trade from the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is one of the two or three best players at the wide receiver position but the Steelers haven’t been able to find a deal for him.

So … what are they going to talk about?

Will they even address the rumors? They kind of have to, right?

If so, is James going to talk about winning championships, something Davis has yet to do? Is he going to swing questions about what Davis wants, and where things went wrong in New Orleans?

This can go a number of ways, which is exactly why there’s hype around the return of this series.

Actor Jussie Smollet, who turned himself in to the Chicago PD this am, had his bail set $100,000.

A visibly angry Eddie Johnson, Superintendent of the Chicago Police, said the actor took advantage of our collective pain and anger at racism, because he was unhappy with his salary on Empire at a news conference this morning.

“I just wish that the families of gun violence in this city got this much attention,” Johnson said referring to the news media.

Smollett turned himself in to police at approximately 5 am Thursday morning and is facing a Class 4 felony charge (punishable for up to 3 years in prison) for disorderly conduct in falsifying a police report. A bond hearing is scheduled for 1:30 pm in Cook County Criminal Court.

Smollett allegedly paid two brothers to stage the January 29 hate crime against him.

Dubbed Kaepernick’s “Icon” jersey, it’s an all-black uniform with white lettering and the player’s name and number. It’s his first big move since settling with the NFL.

Colin Kaepernick, fresh off his recent settlement with the NFL over the collusion case he levied against it, is making moves. He’s not playing pro football, if he ever will again, but he is still doing big things with Nike, which has released a new Kaepernick jersey for sale.

This is the first real thing we’ve seen from Kaepernick since the settlement with the NFL, which also involved former teammate and activist Eric Reid.

The jersey itself is pretty nice — all black, with white numbers. It’s clean and I’ll probably get one myself. This jersey is part of a larger campaign with Nike and Kaepernick, the face of the company’s 30th anniversary “Just Do It” campaign. Kaepernick’s deal with Nike is a “star” deal, on par with deals signed by top athletes in the NFL, and will include shoes, shirts, and of course: jerseys.

Kaepernick previously had sold a jersey on his own website, one that said “#IMWITHKAP” in place of a name, but it looked fairly similar to the one now being offered by Nike. It also sold out seemingly immediately. The jersey Kaepernick sold was to benefit the Know Your Rights Camp, and as far as I can tell, there is no such provision for those sold by Nike.

Of course, Kaepernick himself has been very generous with charitable giving in the past, and Nike is always going to do what Nike does: make and sell stuff, usually at a high price and quality.

In less than a day, the jerseys were already out of stock:

The Independence Community College’s coach became a national star based on his brash persona.

Independence Community College head football coach Jason Brown called himself “your new Hitler” during a discussion with a player from Germany, per the Montgomery County Chronicle. The player, said to be a redshirt freshman named Alexandros Alexiou, reportedly shared the following on social media, which also shows the coach calling the player “u German f—,” though the exact epithet is unclear.

Last Chance U, the successful Netflix show on JUCO football, spent Season 3 following Brown around ICC. Brown’s explosive temper was the primary storyline of at least the first half of the season, which covered the team’s 2017. Former quarterback Malik Henry disputes the show’s portrayal of Brown, and other players have spoken up for Brown on social media before as well.

Referring to himself as “Hitler” for any reason would go quite a bit beyond cussing a lot, though.

The show filmed at ICC again in 2018 for Season 4, slated to premier this summer.

The “points” in the message refer to a disciplinary system in which players who accumulate 25 are booted, per the paper.

Seemingly confirming the screenshot’s validity, the paper reports ICC president Dan Barwick said, “Independence Community College does not condone the language Coach Brown used in his message. I have spoken with Coach Brown about his message to the student, and he fully understands that his language was not appropriate. The college is investigating the matter and will have no further statement at this time.”

“The Independence Board of Trustees will hold an executive session in a special called meeting” on Feb. 21, per nearby KGGF NewsRadio.

WHO YOU GONNA CALL? Original Ghostbuster director Ivan Reitman’s son apparently. “The last thing that Sony wants with the upcoming Ghostbusters sequel, slated for summer 2020, is to repeat what happened with Paul Feig’s doomed 2016 reboot. Not saying anything about the quality of the film, as each film fan is entitled to their own opinion (unjustly biased or not), but Sony’s last attempt to bring the Ghostbusters franchise back was met with some serious backlash from a vocal group of fans. And apparently, the studio learned a lesson from that, and has hired the 1984 film’s original director’s son Jason Reitman to bring the franchise back to a place where fans will be happy,” said Celebitchy.

NATIVISM IN THE Unite States started long before Trump. The Nation has a great essay, “How the Failure of Our Foreign Wars Fueled Nativist Fanaticism,” in the March 9th issue. “For nearly two centuries, US politicians have channeled extremism outward. But the frontier is gone, the empire is faltering, and the chickens are coming home to roost.”

“Every president from Reagan onward has raised the ethical stakes, insisting that what they called ‘internationalism’—be it murderous wars in impoverished Third World countries or corporate trade treaties—was a moral necessity. But the disillusionment generated by Bush’s war on terrorism, the velocity with which events revealed the whole operation to be a sham, was extraordinary—as was the dissonance. The war, especially that portion of it allegedly intended to bring democracy to Iraq, was said to mark a new era of national purpose. And yet a coordinated campaign of deceit, carried out with the complicity of reporters working for the country’s most respected news sources, had to be waged to ensure public support. The toppling of Saddam Hussein was predicted to be a ‘cakewalk,’ and US soldiers, according to Vice President Dick Cheney, would ‘be greeted as liberators.’ But Cheney still insisted that he needed to put in place a global network of secret torture sites in order to win the War on Terror,” the essay begins. Why in the world do Odell Beckham Jr. trade rumors keep popping up?

Every NFL team would love to have a receiver as talented as Beckham. So would the Giants want to trade him away?

In August 2018, Odell Beckham Jr. signed a five-year, $90 million contract with the New York Giants that appeared to put trade rumors to rest for good.

“We feel good about having him on our team for the next five years,” Giants owner John Mara told reporters.

Beckham responded with a bounce-back season with 1,052 receiving yards, despite missing four games. He even threw two touchdowns for an offense that struggled to be anything more than average with Eli Manning at the helm.

But it didn’t even take a year for trade rumors to bubble back up.

It’s not surprising that Beckham is a player many teams would want to acquire. The 26-year-old receiver already has 5,476 career receiving yards and 44 touchdowns in just 59 career games. His 92.8 yards per game is the second best average all-time behind only Julio Jones.

That’s also exactly why it’s so puzzling that trade rumors follow the receiver so persistently. Why would the Giants want to get rid of one of the league’s most elite, young talents?

What are the latest Beckham trade rumors?

Feb. 18, 2019: Bleacher Report’s Chris Simms said the Patriots pushed hard for a trade for Beckham in 2018. NBC’s Mike Florio responded to that by saying the 49ers have been — and continue to be — interested in trading for the receiver.

Feb. 13, 2019: Jay Glazer wrote on The Athletic that his bold prediction of the offseason is that Beckham will be traded.

Oct. 28, 2018: Jay Glazer said on Fox that several teams called the Giants ahead of the trade deadline with “some decent offers,” but were rebuffed.

Oct. 7, 2018: The receiver sat down with rapper Lil Wayne and ESPN’s Josina Anderson for an interview and gave some surprisingly honest and candid answers. That reignited a rift between the player and team, and just like that trade rumors were back.

Why won’t the Beckham trade rumors go away?

Shortly after the end of the 2018 season, Giants general manager Dave Gettleman tried to dump some water on the trade rumor embers before they turned into a fire.

Apparently that didn’t work.

With the possibility of a Beckham trade continuing to make headlines in February, the receiver has posted a few tweets that appear to show his frustration with the rumblings.

A comment on Instagram was even more pointed:

But the trade rumors are — at least to some degree — a self-inflicted wound for Beckham. A year ago, they popped up right around the time a video made the internet rounds that showed the receiver with an aspiring French model, a pizza, and a couple of things that resembled illegal substances.

“I guess my response to that is I’m tired of answering questions about Odell’s behavior,” Mara told reporters in March 2018. “He knows what’s expected of him, and now it’s up to him.”

Beckham has never been arrested and his only suspension was a one-game ban following a knock-down, drag-out battle with Josh Norman in 2015. While his colorful and larger-than-life persona has been a pain in the ass for the Giants at times, it hasn’t kept him out of action.

But the Giants wanted to see personal growth before they committed long-term to the receiver.

“The only question was, was it going to be this year, or were we going to give him another year to prove himself,” Mara said in August after Beckham was extended. “But as I said, he came in with the right attitude. His energy level has been off the roof. He’s done everything we’ve asked him to do.

“I think he’s matured quite a bit. … I think he’s ready to go on and be the type of player and citizen that we expect him to be, and I think he will be.”

Then came the interview with Lil Wayne. Beckham questioned Manning’s abilities, and suggested the Giants were holding the receiver back.

“I don’t feel like I’m being given the opportunity to be the very best that I can, to bring that every single day — and that’s really all I want to do, to bring that every single day,” Beckham said. “Since I’ve been here I’ve put up numbers, records have been broken and all those good things, not to say mean nothing to me, but I know they could have been double, or triple whatever they are now. That’s the part that bothers me.”

The reaction was swift.

On top of the ill-advised interview, 2018 was another injury-shortened season for Beckham. A fractured ankle cost him 12 games in 2017, and a quad injury kept him out for the last four games of the year in 2018.

Five seasons into his career, he’s missed 20 games due to injury and one because of a suspension.

That combination of drama and unavailability makes the idea of cashing in a talented headache for draft capital and cap space intriguing.

You still shouldn’t expect a Beckham trade to happen

A day after Glazer predicted a trade will happen this offseason, odds were released that showed the Giants are still the likeliest team to have Beckham on the roster in 2019 — although it wasn’t very lopsided:

The biggest obstacles for a trade getting done are:

  1. Beckham’s contract
  2. Trade compensation

The receiver is due to count $21 million against the Giants’ salary cap in 2019, but they would only save $5 million of that space by trading him this spring. If the Giants wait until after June 1 to trade Beckham, the team could recoup $17 million of that cap space and carry only $4 million in dead money. But that’d mean missing out on trading Beckham for 2019 draft picks and the big savings wouldn’t be that useful months after free agency.

Bottom line: If the Giants decide to trade Beckham for a pick (or picks) in the 2019 NFL Draft, the team is going to carry $16 million in dead money in 2019 and $12 million in 2020. That’s a whole lot of money going to a player who isn’t even on the roster.

Can the Giants even get enough for Beckham to make that much dead money worthwhile? A year ago, Brandin Cooks was traded for a first-round pick, presumably setting the price tag for Beckham — an even more productive receiver — higher than that.

Antonio Brown is currently on the trading block and a player at Beckham’s level, but it’d be surprising if the Steelers got anything more than a second-round pick for the 30-year-old, pricy receiver.

A team would probably need to come with a significant trade package to pry Beckham from the Giants. Given his contract, his injury history, and a persona that may scare away a team or two — you probably shouldn’t count on a trade getting done.

Because it’s more fun this way.

Antonio Brownt isn’t going to be with the Steelers next season. After an odd end to his 2018 season, and an Instagram post with team owner Art Rooney II, the two agreed it was “time to move on.” Though it’s not a given, after general manager Kevin Colbert said the team would need significant compensation.

Now, one of the best wide receivers in the NFL is looking for a new home. Of course, all 31 other teams should want Brown, though many simply aren’t realistic. But this post isn’t to determine which ones are most realistic, because honestly, it’s not nearly as fun as cooking up pipe dream scenarios.

You know that scene in The Office where Michael Scott is in a ton of debt, and Creed tells him to declare bankruptcy? Michael then proceeds to just yell that he declares bankruptcy, and deems everything is good.

That’s basically what we’re doing here. I don’t know how Antonio Brown would just magically pop up on any of these rosters, but damn it, we’re doing it anyway.

Let him run with Kansas City.

Putting Brown with Pat Mahomes instantly makes them the best quarterback-wide receiver duo in the NFL. You can make a good case for Brown being the game’s best receiver for the past five years, and throwing him in Kansas City’s offense would be must-watch TV.

When Mahomes is doing things like no-look passes:

And Brown can clutch up like he did on Sunday Night Football against the Packers in 2017:

The two could make a mean football mixtape, and there’s just simply not enough generational talents in the NFL to be able to accomplish this. But Brown and Mahomes could.

Mahomes had 5,097 yards, 50 touchdowns, and 12 picks in his first year as a starter, and he was the NFL’s MVP. It’s already scary enough that he’s probably going to get better and put up numbers we never thought possible. Adding Brown to that equation? Whewwww.

That’s an offense you’re not going to stop — which is going to be kind of the point for all of these!

Give him to Drew Brees and your “defense wins championships” argument probably doesn’t matter.

The Falcons fan in me threw up a little in my mouth typing that.

Assuming Brees doesn’t have that severe drop-off because he’s 40 years old (see: Brett Favre and Peyton Manning), good luck stopping an offense where it’s Brown, Michael Thomas on the other side, and Alvin Kamara.

Brees is a quarterback who has made good players seem great. Brown’s proven himself to be one of the game’s best with Ben Roethlisberger slinging him the pill. So imagine if you make Brees his quarterback with those other options around him.

He’s also already got Choppa Style down too, so he’d fit right in:

The only thing stopping this offense is Sean Payton insisting that Taysom Hill get the football inside the five-yard line after an impressive and extensive drive.

Well what about Nickell Robey-Coleman and bad referees, you ask?

With all due respect to Tommylee Lewis, Brown gets that defensive pass interference call.

Create the best wide receiving corps in NFL history with the Falcons.

I don’t want this to come off as some supreme Matt Ryan slander, because he’s been an NFL MVP. But not even he, or former Falcons offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian, could mess up a wide receiving corps of Brown, Julio Jones, and Calvin Ridley (OK, Sark might LOL).

Much like if Brown were on the Saints, this Falcons offense would probably be so good that not even 2018’s injury-plagued, Can’t-Stop-A-Nosebleed defense wouldn’t matter. A healthy Devonta Freeman in the backfield and Austin Hooper as a decoy at tight end, and there’s no way the Falcons don’t put up at least 31 points a game.

We’ll just pretend like this never happened:

Moving right along …

Make “The Greatest Show On Surf” even greater.

This might be the least sexy of all of the previously mentioned Mega Offenses, but it is still a pretty idea. The Rams were still a joy to watch last year despite that dud of a 13-3 Super Bowl loss against the Patriots, and would be even more fun with Brown.

Along with one of the NFL’s best running backs in Todd Gurley, Jared Goff would be able to work with Brown, Brandin Cooks, Cooper Kupp, and the Troy Aikman Proclaimed Best Wide Receiver In Football Robert Woods.

Also, I think Brown would be down to recreate the Ram It video:

That may or may not be the most important part of all of this.

Or we can let everything be bad and have him and Jalen Ramsey tell Blake Bortles how bad he is publicly.

Ramsey has barely been able to hide his feelings for his quarterback in the past, like when he liked an Instagram post of a Big Cat Country article on potential Bortles replacements:

Combine him with Brown, who has literally thrown a football at Roethlisberger before? All that energy would have to make its way out into the open, and the idea of these two just dogging Bortles is funny.

Despite this offense not being even remotely as good as any of the ones I’ve already mentioned, and the likelihood that the Jags dump Bortles this offseason, we’re also here for the jokes.

“He’d probably be really good on the Patriots, too!”

But nobody wants to see that.

YouTube’s new premium series Weird City is similar to the Netflix’s hit show Black Mirror.

Both are anthology series (meaning you can watch them out of sequence) and both take place in a dystopian sci-fi future.

In the pilot episode of the series (which is the flag ship series for their premium service, which is being offered free for now), the two men’s characters are “accidentally” connected by the ultimate dating algorithm.

O’Neil is popularly known for his “man’s man” characters from Modern Family and Married with Children, while O’Brien is popularly known for his roles as Stiles on MTV’s Teen Wolf and Thomas in The Maze Runner trilogy.

Though both men initially profess to be “straight” when they meet, they end up in an unlikely, but heartwarming romance that has a countdown.

In the spirit of no spoilers simply watch the premiere episode below.
